Welcome to our Winter Wellness box we affectionally call the Hygge Box!
As we inch our way through winter, let the wisdom of the plants carry and support us in this hibernation and cozy time for the soul.
In our box, the unique potions are focused on: hibernation, immune building, soothing our skin from the elements and finding moments of joy in the dark.
Winter Solstice is a festival celebrated by many indigenous traditions the world over as the welcoming back of the sunlight. At this point in the celestial calendar, the number of hours of sunlight starts increasing again.
It was seen as the sun's return and was a joyous occasion celebrated with outdoor festivities, drinks, foods, and bonfires and to help communities stock up because the hardest days of winter were still to come.
Plants featured in our solstice box include roots, evergreens, resins, mushrooms, and plants with mystical, intuitive, and heart-loving powers like labrador tea, tulsi, and chamomile. To welcome warm light into your homes, there is a lovely spruce tree beeswax candle to celebrate the darkness and welcome back the light.
